ADC Foaming Agent

Azodicarbonamide, English name Foamer ADC, Chinese alias foaming agent ADC-CAS123-77-3; EINECS number: 204-650-8; Molecular formula NH2CON=NCONH2, C2H4N4O2.

Azodicarbonamide (abbreviated as foaming agent AC) is a yellow powder, non-toxic, odorless, difficult to burn, soluble in alkali, insoluble in gasoline, alcohol, benzene, pyridine, and water. Its decomposition temperature is typically 195~210°C, which is relatively high, making it difficult to apply in many polymer materials. It is best to add other additives to lower the decomposition temperature of AC when using it.

ADC complies with the national standard HG2097-91 industry standard, with the scientific name azodicarbonamide. It appears as a light yellow powder with a relative density of 1.65. It is mainly used as a foaming agent for polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene, and natural rubber.
